I think that it's stupid for any teenagers to participate in taking nude pictures and in distributing nude pictures in the first place. They should realize that there are consequences to their actions, and quite frankly it's completely unnecessary for a 14 or 15 year old to be sending nude or revealing pictures of themselves to anyone, whether it's a boyfriend or girlfriend or not. If those teenagers are caught, they should be responsible for their actions, but I don't think that they should necessarily be registered as a sex offender.

Being registered as a sex offender is serious, you end up on that list for years to come for a mistake you made with a boyfriend or girlfriend when you maybe 16 years old or so. You'll have difficulty finding and keeping a job for most of your life because of your record and you won't be allowed in a certain distance of schools or daycares. Sending one picture as a teenager can ruin the rest of your life and the decision will hang over your head forever. I don't think you should be registered as a sex offender unless it's more serious than just sending a picture, unless you're sending pictures of a minor.

This article made me much more informed on this topic and I realize even more than I did before, how stupid it is to take or send nude pictures of yourself or someone else.
